Autonomous and Robust Robotic Systems

In subproject A "Autonomous and Robust Robotic Systems" we analyze a Moon mission to create a lunar base. We also study components and subsystems for robotic systems. For example, we develop a single wheel test bed that allows us to explore the interaction of wheels with regolith.

The Single Wheel Testbed under development

As part of 3D4Space, we develop the robotic prototype MIRA3D. The prototype allows us to test payloads, algorithms and sensors in dusty environments. Within the framework of subproject G, MIRA3D will carry the 3D printing head as payload and thus demonstrate the additive layer manufacturing of lunar regolith simulant.
